Melbourne Ukulele Kollective

Melbourne Ukulele Kollective is a diverse, open-armed gaggle of ukulele musicians each equipped with only four strings and the truth!

Since crashing through the tv screens of the nation in 2006 (Spicks and Specks: ABC TV), the Melbourne Ukulele Kollective is still boldly going where no ukuleles have gone before!  MUK has played Moomba, Fed Square, Hamer Hall, the Adelaide Fringe and a host of other pubs and venues including headlining the annual Melbourne Ukulele Festival (MUF).

MUK will sweep into the Hills Festival fresh from MUF23 and recently returned from the National Folk Festival where they are performing in their natural element, raw and exposed on the streets of the entertainment precinct.

Described by Brian Nankervis as “mysterious… and feral”, and by some as “self indulgent”, MUK delights in crossing borders, smashing boundaries and raising the humble ukulele to new and outlandish heights!

MUK are excited to be appearing and opening Sunday at The Hills Ukulele Festival in 2023!
