The Poet & The Fool

The Poet and the Fool is a duo of ukulele playing Jess Dunn and multi-instrumentalist Ray Lakeman (acoustic guitar, cigar box guitar and mandolin) Their style is hard to pin down, as Jess has loved exploring the versatility of the ukulele in many different genres of music, and Ray sometimes gets his way and plays the songs he likes. Including influences such as bluegrass, blues, gospel, traditional folk, Jess’ vocals are bluesy and gutsy and her songs are full of dry humour. Two singer-songwriters with unique voices and soaring harmonies: the question is, just who is the poet and who is the fool?
